Announced in February 2012, Le Castelnau real estate complex brought a wind of change in the Villeray district. Indeed, it was not only a new complex that would make available 300 condo units, but the first phase of this complex would contribute to the revitalization of the neighborhood by transforming an institutional building with remarkable architectural features, the Clercs building of Saint-Viateur, into a residential building.
Since then, two of the four planned phases have been completed by promoters Thibault, Messier, Savard and Associates (TMSA) and DevMcGill, and two subsequent phases are under construction. Phase 3 is expected to be delivered in the spring of 2021.
Villeray's Le Castelnau, a complex in demand
With the purchase of the Clercs de Saint-Viateur building and its transformation into a residential building came many important responsibilities. That's why it took developers 2 years to obtain due authorizations. Today, Le Castelnau rises in perfect harmony with its environment, in a green and increasingly in demand area, Villeray.
Close to large green spaces and a vibrant neighborhood life encouraged by the many local shops and many cultural events, Le Castelnau complex offers an active and urban lifestyle.

All the necessary amenities
"The process was a long one: it took two years to obtain the necessary authorization. But it allowed to design a project that takes into account the requirements of elected officials and citizens. Thus, it was agreed that no construction would take place on the lot in front of the building. In addition, this land, which today contains concrete and parking spaces, will be completely reverdi", reads Le Devoir, at the the project’s announcement. It goes without saying that nothing was left to chance and that all means were deployed to make Le Castelnau the ideal real estate complex, both in its immediate environment and inside the units.
