July is upon us and those who are relocating or just arriving in town might be surprised to learn that it’s also the moving season in Montreal and throughout Quebec.
If you have found a gem among the high-end properties for rent offered at Accès International and have signed your lease, it is time to look at the list of things you’ll have to consider before your move.
Address change
First, make sure that your various account providers (government, bank, services) are informed of your new address and the date on which this change will take effect. Nowadays, several providers allow you to plan your address changes online and in advance.
Opening service accounts
If you have just arrived in Montreal, make sure that you have planned the activation of the different service accounts that you will need in your new luxury rental apartment. Of course, when working with Accès International, you will be accompanied in the opening of all accounts that are not already included with a furnished rental.
Plan the move of your belongings to your new home
For a conventional move, you will need to find reliable and experienced movers who will take great care of your belongings. It will be advantageous to book your movers team in advance, especially for a move in July, so you do not have to compromise on the date and time.
For a relocation or a move to a furnished apartment, house or condo, moving your goods will be much easier since you will not have to plan the move of appliances or large furniture. Everything will be included in your lease.
Personalize your space
Once the planning of your move is completed, you’ll be able to focus on customizing your new rented home. Make sure that the aesthetic changes of your apartment (painting, wallpaper, etc.) are authorized by the owners.
For the rest, it's up to you to invest in some accessories that reflect your personality and your family’s.
